Sound Studies is a music studio run with the lived experiences of our owners, employees, and students in mind and a true passion for serving these and other marginalized communities. Our studio will continue to strive to be a well educated, inclusive, and warm place for all.

Our students and teachers are given freedom to learn and teach in creative ways. While we give technical instruction, our hope is to adapt to our students learning styles and teach them a deeper appreciation and understanding of our subjects. 

What We Do

Classes

  • Whether you are wanting to play Beethoven or your favorite pop song, our teachers are here to guide you in your musical journey; we accept students ages 4 and up of any ability! Our teachers tailor these lessons to the student; we use several different curriculums, teaching styles and resources to make sure every student is getting the music education that is right for them!

  • Taught by Mr Michael, personalized guitar instruction for players of all levels, covering both electric and acoustic styles. Beginners build a strong foundation in chords, strumming patterns, fingerpicking, and basic music theory. More advanced students dive into lead guitar, scales, and improvisation.

  • Beginners start with the fundamentals: proper posture, breathing, tone production, and reading music, building a strong foundation that makes progress feel natural and rewarding. The recorder is a wonderful first instrument for young learners, developing finger coordination and musical literacy that transfer easily to flute and other instruments later on.

  • Start with the essentials of healthy singing: breath support, posture, pitch accuracy, and resonance. You'll learn how your voice works and how to use it safely and freely, building a foundation that lets you sing with ease rather than strain.

    Intermediate and advanced students develop range, vocal agility, tone color, and stylistic versatility, along with the performance skills that bring a song to life.

  • Taught by Mr Andres learn to play drums with personalized instruction tailored to your goals, skill level, and musical interests. Sessions cover the fundamentals: timing, rhythm, and coordination.

  • Flexible hours with trained musicians at your door only for piano currently

  • These lessons are for students 4 and up of any level! We believe that, especially in Texas, learning one language is enhanced by reinforcing the other. Whether students are Spanish or English native-speaker, these classes are designed for mastering both! 

    We tailor these lessons to the student; we use several different curriculums, teaching styles and resources to make sure every student is getting the language education that is right for them!
