Piano, Voice, Recorder, & Flute Instructor

She/Her

Liz has been teaching piano since 2000, working with students from age four through adulthood, from beginning lessons through advanced levels of study. She brings to her teaching the belief that every child is musical.
Her teaching combines traditional classical piano study with techniques and philosophies from various pedagogical approaches allowing her to adapt her teaching to each student’s individual needs and learning style.
Liz brings decades of professional musical experience to her teaching, having worked as an accompanist, musical theater pianist, music director, & church organist. Her years as an accompanist have given her a deep appreciation for the art of collaboration & performance—skills she enjoys passing along to her students.
Liz is a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University and completed music studies at West Valley College.
Currently Liz continues to expand her knowledge of neurodivergent learners, exploring different learning styles and approaches to better support the individual needs of her students.
